Socket Weld Y-Type Strainer

Socket Weld Y-Type Strainer is a pipeline filter with socket weld ends. With standard Y-shaped body, it intercepts rust, welding residues and particulate impurities inside pipelines to protect upstream equipment such as water pumps and all types of valves. It removes mechanical contaminants from medium to avoid pipeline blockage and equipment abrasion, ensuring safe and stable production. It is composed of carbon steel / stainless steel body, double-layer stainless steel screen and blowdown cap. Oversized screen greatly cuts down fluid loss. The detachable cartridge enables easy disassembly and cleaning for daily service. Complete screen mesh options are available for water, gas and oil pipelines, and custom mesh sizes are supported for special working conditions. Various body materials and sealing compounds match different corrosive media and temperatures. It works under PN1.6–32.0MPa and -80℃~450℃, covering petroleum chemical, power, food pharmaceutical, water supply & drainage industries. It suits weakly corrosive oil, strongly corrosive acid & alkali, low-temperature refrigerants, sanitary fluids like beer and dairy products. Socket weld ends feature simple welding work, good concentricity and reliable sealing. Its compact structure fits small-bore, medium & high-pressure pipelines with limited installation space. It can be installed horizontally or vertically downward, with flow direction aligned to the arrow on body. Clean all pipeline connecting surfaces before installation, and isolate pressurized system before maintenance. First cleaning shall be finished within one week after startup, then regular blowdown and inspection are required. Optional backwash design improves cleaning efficiency.
