Butt Weld Y-Type Strainer

Butt Weld Y-Type Strainer is a pipeline impurity filter with butt weld ends. Adopting classic Y-shaped body, it is installed at the inlet of pumps, pressure reducing valves, relief valves and other equipment to trap rust, welding slag, sand grains and solid particles. It purifies pipeline medium, prevents abrasion and blockage of downstream equipment, and guarantees stable system operation. It consists of body, double-layer stainless steel screen and blowdown cover. The screen area is 3–4 times the cross-section of inlet pipe to reduce flow resistance. Contaminants are trapped inside the screen; the detachable cartridge can be taken out for easy cleaning. Multiple mesh sizes are optional: 18–30 mesh for water, 40–100 mesh for gas, 100–480 mesh for oil, and custom precision is available for special working conditions. Body materials include carbon steel, SS304 and SS316L. Seals of PTFE and NBR adapt to various corrosive media and temperature ranges. It fits nominal pressure PN1.6–32.0MPa and operating temperature -80℃~450℃, widely applied in petroleum, chemical, power, metallurgy, food & pharmaceutical, municipal water supply fields. It can convey water, oil products, acid & alkali corrosive fluids, low-temperature refrigerants and sanitary food-grade media. Butt weld ends form full penetration welded joints with outstanding tightness, structural strength and pressure resistance, ideal for heavy-duty high-temperature & high-pressure process pipelines. It can be mounted horizontally or vertically downward, and fluid flow must follow the arrow marked on the body. The screen needs cleaning within one week after initial startup, followed by regular maintenance based on working conditions; isolate the strainer from pressurized pipeline before service. Models with blowdown outlets discharge dirt rapidly, and backwash function is available for certain designs.
